shifters breaking
I have a 92 SR model KDX 250 and I am going through shifters like candy. The stock one from my "trusty" Kawi dealer last about a year and there are no aftermarket ones I know of. Any suggestions or is anyone else running into this problem?

Not a TON of 250 riders here..
This bike isn't new..is it a new problem? It's not shifted a break lever for 20 years..and then it started 'all of a sudden'?
Or...it's always happened to you while YOU'VE had it?
What's happening to them? Spline failure? If so...check for tight at least a few times after putting one on.
It's a formed steel (bent) part and breaking at a bend (not aluminum), you could weld a gusset in the weak spot, then.
There's a big difference between sure, positive, fast shifter movement and just BANGing on the thing.....
