Cousin Bobby's KTM MXer

Post by billie_morini »

My cousin Bobby lives in New Jersey (NJ) and is 85 years old.

Bobby is one of my Moto Heroes ( :prayer: ). He still rides his KTM on MX tracks and in forests 4 to 5 times per week. Bobby transports his dirt bike in a little Nissan NV 200 van. When Bobby was a younger racer, he competed regularly in national professional MX competition. He raced against competitors like Malcom Smith, "King Richard" Burleson, and the like. Bobby also competed and metaled multiple times in national level 6 Day Trials events. Consequently, he was invited to compete in the International Six Day Trials (ISDT).

Bobby also owned a very successful motorcycle dealership in NJ during the 1970's & 1980's. The dealership sold and serviced Maico, Suzuki, Husqvarna, and KTM.

PS. When I used Burleson's more common nickname for Richard, the forum software changed it to "**** " How stupid is that?!

Wow, my dreams were to keep riding into my mid or late seventies but 85, that is an incredible feat! It pays to eat a healthy well-balanced diet, sleep 8 hours a night, and stay physically active as well as mentally active, to keep sharp in an hour old age! It also pays to take less drastic risks when doing things like riding!
I need to start practicing all those things even more than I already do, if I want to still be doing this stuff in 37 years when I am Bobby's age!

Your cousin Bobby is an icon and one to keep as a role model!
