Hey everyone,

Just wanted to throw this out there for anyone looking for a Honda CR500 2 stroke or browsing listings for a Honda CR500 for sale online.

These bikes are awesome and highly sought after, but because of that there are also quite a few sketchy listings floating around. I’ve noticed some ads with prices that seem way too good to be true or sellers who can’t provide clear photos, VIN details, or proper paperwork.

If you’re in the market for a CR500 2 stroke, just make sure you do your homework. Ask for detailed pictures, verify the VIN, and if possible check the bike in person before sending any money. These bikes are legendary machines, but the popularity also attracts scammers trying to take advantage of buyers.

Just thought I’d share a quick heads-up to help fellow riders stay safe while hunting for their next Honda CR500 for sale. Ride safe everyone

I would assume the same might hold true for the legendary green counterpart, the KX500...

I don't see much in the way of CR500 ads or builds, as I'm too immersed in the KX/KDX world among others.
I'm only dabbling in the Honda XR250R realms as I'm occasionally helping a friend with his basket case '98 XR250R...

The KX500 is certainly an alluring machine, with a lot of support still, as well as a lot of conversions to 2003+ KX/KX-F chassis...
