Ex motocross nut, back to riding after 10 years. From a crf450-kdx200

Hello Kdxicans. My name is Skinny Rob. I am new to the kdx aswell as this forum. Im fixing up a relatively low hr 2002 kdx200 that I acquired from my younger brother who bought it used and in near mint condition, 10 years ago. He never rode it however. He got the bike from a coworker so he could come riding with myself and the homies during our few Hollister Hills camping trips that we used to do. I come from a motocross background. I raced locally here in norcal when I could afford it. I began working at local tracks so I could, 1.supplimemt my riding costs. 2. To see what it might take to one day be able to open and run my own tracks. That never panned out but I did however go on for about 10 years designing and building tracks as a contracted operator. It was the time of my life getting to develop my passion like that. The people I met and the places I've been made it all worth it. Because Lord knows financially it wasn't worth it LOL. But there's only one way of finding out whether it will work or not that's to pursue it and I did as long as I could. I ended up being pretty burnt out with it. I was going to be a problem with my personal life as well I sold my bikes, and shut down shop as far as building. Well I think we spiral out of control in the negative way at that point leading up to about 2020 I sent them getting my **** back together. And realizing that biggest most beneficial type of rehab for therapy that i need in my life.. is to get back into riding. My brother parked his KDX in the shed behind my rental house that he was in. And it was only as of recently that he remembered it was in there. He asked me if I'd be interested in it. And under the premise that I clean it up and get it running again he said I can just have it. So for me it seems like it's one of those things that are kind of meant to be. This bike fell into my lap when I needed the most. And I'm pretty close to getting it done. I have a few little issues I'm working through with the bike and I'm sure you'll see them posting here at some point. Because I am sure I will have questions. I'd appreciate any and all suggestions and help. Thank you for having me!

Cormdizzle824, concur with your conclusion. Riding motor bikes is superior mental health therapy. Two more bebeficial therapies include hiking with my dogs (Rhodesian Ridgebacks) and playing guitar. Cheers, Billie
