Hello all, I have just picked up an air cooled engine as a parts donor but the numbers are confusing. it reads. KHI DX200 CE 012728
the C is barely visible but the E is quite pronounced in the casting. I thought the E engines were water cooled. Can anyone help please.

From the 1986 - 1988 Kawasaki Model Recognition Manual that dealers had:
1988 KDX200
The "C" and "D" series came with engines stamped "DX200CE0xxxxx" with the small x's being a number.
EDIT: Moved to air-cooled section.
