Kawigreen Frame/Swing arm bearing removal
I am new to the forum. I just started my 93 rebuild project today. Anyone know where I can get the swing arm linkage for the unitrac? Can I use another make or model? I found the bearing kit on motosport but no luck on the swing arm linkage. Thanks in advance!

Re: Need advice on reviving 91
Since this is a newer thread, I'll post my question here. I'm new to the forum and started tearing down the rear suspension on my newly acquired 93 kdx200. Does anyone know of where I can get the swing arm linkage? I read the posts above and have checked around but I'm not seeing any. I was able to find bearing kits on motosport. Are there any other swing arm linkages that might fit or possibly an entire swing arm assembly from another make and model? I appreciate any positive feedback.

Re: Kawigreen Frame/Swing arm bearing removal
Hi. Welcome to kdxrider.net, as well as a crash course on how internet forums have worked for the past couple of decades. :-)
If you have a unique question, please make a new thread. This works better than posting a question at the end of someone else's thread. This is especially true if the thread has been dead for a few years.
Look around for a PivotWorks brand kit. They made a kit for the swingarm bearings as well as most of the linkage bearings. They also made a shock lower bearing and upper bushing kit. I would go OEM for the lower shock bearing. It sees a lot of abuse being as small as it is. OEM bearings have been reported to last longer than aftermarket.

The linkage is going to be tough, likely an Ebay find.

Re: Kawigreen Frame/Swing arm bearing removal
Has anyone attempted to, or is it even possible, to put a swingarm from another model on the kdx200 or any year within the E series? The holes where the swingarm connects to the engine case are a bit wallowed. I'm weary about purchasing a used one on ebay and running into the same issue. I'm not sure how to post pictures or I would ask for opinions. There's a steel ring inside the center of each hole on the swingarm. Is that an old bearing race or is that machined steel that was pressed in, to hold the bearings?

By another model, I mean outside of the KDX family.

Well, I ended up buying a new swingarm from Rocky Mountain ATV. Hopefully it fits properly!! Anyone have experience with them?

WOW! Congratulations on not waiting around for a used one.
RMATVMC is great, probably the biggest off-road company for parts, now.

Rocky Mountain ATV is excellent!!! Never had a problem.
If you lend someone $20, and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

While waiting for the swingarm, is there any specific oil you all recommend for the rear shock?

I run Maxima shock oil in my motocross bikes and Motorex 5W in the KDX. I think either is a great fluid.

This is the reasoning for the new linkage.

I wonder how that could happen?

Re: Kawigreen Frame/Swing arm bearing removal
If you think it looks tight now, just imagine when the swingarm is parallel to the ground (tightest point of chain tension)
That bearing is like the old guy measuring the oil level in Waterworld below deck when the flare was dropped don through the opening on the top deck.

I think that chain is tuned to “G”.
