Updated look on the Hybrid
So summertime riding is miserable and borderline dangerous here in Texas. The heat and humidity are just too much at my age. Summer is my time to tear the bike down and give it a refresh...grease bearings, fork oil, etc, etc. all the stuff I neglect during my riding season (OCT-MAY).
This year I decided to do a refresh of the plastics after hearing about the TX Race kit. This is a bolt on kit designed for the '03 and up KX 125 and 250. The plastics are 2017-2019 KX 250f. The engineered brackets and other misc parts are what you're really paying for. Also included is a new seat which closely resembles the 250f seat. It actually has more padding than the OEM KX 125 seat Still not the la-z-boy KDX seat though...but much better.
The assembly is fairly straight forward and the instructions are adequate to make it happen. My only minor issues with the kit were the allen head bolts. Too many years of taking the plastics off with an 8mm socket. So I replaced the majority of the allen head bolts with 8mm bolts I had on hand.
I like the results.
Tried to upload the images but the file is too large..ugh. trying to figure it out but I better submit this so I won't have to redo the entire thing.
More to come...

Cool. I am anxious to see how she looks. E-mail them to me at administrator AT kdxgarage DOT com if you can't figure out how to downsize them. I can downsize them, then edit them into your post.

Even an old guy can figure out new tricks...I think it should be working now. Thanks.

That looks nice! Been wanting to update my hybrids look, based on a 2001 KX unfortunately.

Re: Updated look on the Hybrid
Thx guys. It wasn’t cheap, but a lot cheaper than a new bike. Here is the link for it if anyone is interested.
https://www.txrace.com/shop/tx-race-res ... f18f422eef
Shipping and customs fees from Spain adds around $100 to the cost.

Always liked cables and pulleys going to my flight controls....in light of recent events (Max) I can see your point.Slick_Nick wrote: ↑05:33 pm Oct 04 2019 That actually looks pretty good!

Absolutely beautiful bike all around! I would think this is what a new KDX might look like.
