Sending out pipe for repair

Post by buellfire »

Hi all,
Thinking about sending my Pro Circuit polished pipe out for dent repair. You have you used? Was it worth it? I have found a few companies that clean pipes up and their dent work looks good. My bike still run great just thinking about cleaning it up abit.

How much are they charging for the dent repair work?

Also are the dents large and sweeping dents or those tight deep ones with a crease in the bottom? The first type are easier to work with, but if you have a crease to work out your going to have some trouble getting it out of there. Also, will it need any welds?

I only paid about $150 for my FMF Gnarly Woods pipe shipped to my door... depending on what they will charge you + shipping both ways, it may be worth it to just buy a new pipe and scrap the old one on ebay for whatever you can get out of it.

Pacific Crest Pipe Repair is a good option I hear. It’s about $60.
