In what manner are each vertebrae fractured? Was it a simple fracture of the transverse process? Or is the vertebrae itself broken?

I honestly couldn't tell you. I don't understand all the medical jargon. This is what it says...
There is a avulsion fracture of the right occiput at the origin of the alar ligament. This is at the limits of resolution of the study. There is possible subtle lucency with trabecular disorganization Extending through the lateral arch of C1 to the cortex without definite cortical displacement in relation to the into the vertebral artery foramen transversarium.

Left C7 transverse process fracture with extension to but no displacement of the foramen transversarium.Age-indeterminate anterior superior T1 vertebral body compression fracture, with loss of anterior vertebral body height of less than20%.

Holy crap, that’s a lot of words. I hope someone can translate that into something that you can work with.

Went to the doc today. I've been cleared for duty! Woohoo! :boogie: I got a new helmet ordered and hopefully can repair the damage to my bike so I can get back to riding!

I'm in a boot due to a broken foot while riding. It's a lot less serious than your injuries but I am on my eighth week. The Dr. told me he wasn't going to pin it because it didn't need it. Four weeks later he told me he couldn't pin it because the bones were so damaged. So I agree with you - you are not going to get full disclosure unless you read your own reports.
I hope you make a full recovery.

Thanks!

On your situation, damn, hope you heal up ok. Yeah, docs are not very reliable nowadays. I've lost a lot of faith in the medical fields.

One of my buddies collarbone from this weekend. Went off trail and plowed into a large rock, flipped him over.

Supposedly it only takes 17# of pressure to break your clavicle/collar bone. Broke both of mine, skateboarding and racing at night off road ... safest sports going yup yup

SS109,
So glad to hear you are doing well now, scary stuff...
My wife nearly died last year due to an unusual lung infection. The pulmonologist misdiagnosed the cause. Just using internet searches and reviewing the lab tests, I was able to figure out the problem and treated for a full recovery, as one radiologist report had the key to the problem - but the doctor failed to pick it up as she had made up her mind too soon. I too, have lost a lot of faith in the medical system -
Be careful out there, folks, on the trail and off.
