Just searched big bore kit Kdx 200 and foubd this site.
bought mine for $850Aud 1997 KDX 200
It has a little piston slap so tore her down.
I live two strokes.
now I see people talking about RB carb head mod. Is it really worth it?
also mine is std ....feel like chucking a bigger ashtray in her while she is in bits.....anything to steer clear of?

For a 220 the RB carb and head mods are certainly worth every penny. For a 200 the carb mod is golden, but the head mod is optional as it shows only minimal gains. Still worth it if you are doing the carb anyway. Overseas shipping can be a bear.

Big bore KDX200/220 can be exceedingly problematic, as you tend to lose most of that low end throttle control that makes the KDX so lovely to ride. It has been done, and if you search around you'll find some old 240 big bores. As far as I know there really isn't a big bore kit that is still readily available, so sourcing the oversized piston may be a challenge. I'm not at all convinced that it's worth it.

Gday Phoenix welcome to the club, forget about bigbore just stay with 200cc. Talk to TwoStokePerformance here in OZ to get your squish dialed in ,he can relpate your cylinder get new piston ect,
Get a new PWK35 airstryker carb purchase a CEL needle some decent reeds new fmf pipe, and the rest will be happy days. KDX200 are notorious for dismal fuel range.mine has gone from 60 klm per tank to 88klm per tank with the head mod alone.
