Mention a user
Is there a way to mention a user, like say you write someones name and have it link to there name and notify them.

I think he means like a link to an Email addy......so a name shows up as a hyperlink.

He means like twitter mentions and stuff, where a person is notified by email when someone mentions their username..
example:

Would probably require some phpBB extension or mod to the forum software
To the original poster: If you go to the board index page, you can click "view new posts" under the date an time on the left side. All new post submissions and replies will show up in that list. Most regular forum members will use this to see what's new new on the forum and will catch your post reply to them. If not, you can donate a dollar or 5 to the forum and send private messages

Ok. Thanks guys. To clear things up i wanted to be able to hyperlink a username and have them be notified about it, kind of like on facebook

There was a mod to add this, but the author of said mod has abandoned development, and it is unsupported as of several years ago. If I see a new release of a similar mod I will look at implementing it.
