They don't let you plate dirtbikes anymore in CA, so I searched for a pre-plated KDX200, and am beginning to build her to my needs on a budget

The night I brought her home:

bike starts, new front/rear brake rotors, not a spec of dirt on the motor, racetech rear spring, new fork boots, FMF full system, and that's all I know

she looked relatively clean, but needs a left grip, headlight, and tail/brake light before I can take her down the road or the local plated trails
goal is to:
1.) be street legal and ride the Cleveland National Forest fire roads - after work - looking to go every other weekend!
2.) be street legal and ride it down the street (to get milk, run errands, go to the gym - I live in a city, so speeds aren't >45mph)
3.) occasional canyon runs (I will truck the bike to/from)
4.) occasional desert
5.) occasional MX
6.) occasional Supermoto tracks
For the canyon/supermoto duty, I can't afford to drop a G for 17" rims/tires/etc.
So I bought a spare set of rims & factory kickstand for $100 on CL:

and going to wrap them with Kenda Challenger sport touring tires:

90/100-21 on the front, 100/90-18 on the rear (which is really a front tire...just going to turn it around)
