Good luck to you. My kid did that last year. Had to have surgery, screws and plates, 12 weeks to recover with 6 on crutches and 6 in a walking cast. Then 10 days after he got the green light to race again, he broke his arm. Hope yours goes easier.

Ok Ron's laying on the couch now so he started this post with out being able to tell much so I'll fill you in because I saw it all happen: He came out of the woods and started a Wheelie 20ft from the exit (same field as in his new post of the helmet cam, hes been there done that). Ron was shifting gears through this super long wheelie when he hit 4th and the front went down. So he punched it, hit the powerband and the bike stood straight up. He let go, fell sitting, and began rolling. Falling wasn't what broke his leg- the bike was rolling sometimes in front of him, sometimes it back. Somewhere in this rolling the bike hit his leg (he felt it crack). He stopped rolling after maybe 2-3 seconds and the bike 20ft after. I went over, naturally, and asked if he was okay and he told me to get the bike on a tree first so I did. I could tell he wasnt going into shock or anything, and we didnt have a cell because mine crapped out and Ron forgot his  . So I rode my bike to his house and thank God my dad was home early so Ron's mom, my dad and me got back to the field in our truck. Then Ron's dad came in his truck we loaded Ron in to his truck and we all left: Ron's familily to the hospital, my dad to my house and me on the RM250 to leave it at Rons and get my KDX. Long story made long but I was never very good at english- myksluv

Tough luck!! Usually a fall on a dirtbike and the bike goes one way while the rider goes in another. Very seldom does a single crash result in an injury from the bike, unlike quads.

In your favor is your youth. It should heal quicker and stronger than if you were an old fart like me!! Ha!! The best part of it all is you had a witness to the whole event. If he had a camera on you, it would have been a hit on YouTube!!!

Anyways, take care now as you mend and let us know how the surgery turns out.

Sorry to hear about your fall. I hope you're able to kick that thing over before the snow starts flying. That way you're not waiting until spring before you toss a leg over it again.
I wish you a speedy and relatively painless recovery!
Joe

Update...

Today was the doctor appointment, I got my splint off and I got the O.K to start back at school tommorow :supz:

Now comes the fun part. Physical therapy. I've never done anything like this, never broken any bones until now so I'm hoping the therapy goes good. I should be walking without crutches in a month!

I've learned that using one leg while standing in front of the toilet pissing is DIFFICULT!

Physical therapy is a pain . . . I'm still going 3 times a week. But it's important so resist the urge to skip out . . .
