Remember, closed collarbone, not closed fist.

Heal up soon and properly. DO NOT rush it. You are young. Your motor scooter can wait.

I’ve heard about that ‘free Canadian healthcare’… unfortunately they are trying hard to get it across the border, but I’m not having it.

It’s nothing special at all! Just a crappy fox jersey, but those letters are a real pain in the ass to iron on!

Surgery went well. Back home now. In quite a bit of pain and rather queasy. Will update when I’m feeling better. Thanks for the good vibes everyone.

Glad to hear they finally got you in! What a PIA that you had to wait that long! Best wishes on the recovery. Maybe sit back this weekend, sign up for a US VPN and see if you can catch some supercross this weekend! Side note, drives me nuts we not longer get that coverage up here.........
Go Riders!

Wishing you the best Nick and happy to hear that you finally got in. That must of been a hell of a time sitting at home waiting with your bones crunching together. Wow

Finally went to my sister's house to pick up the bikes. One month to the day since my accident. Was weird seeing it, the crash started coming back to me.

Front end is pretty tweaked, I have no idea how I didn't break or even bend a lever! I'm not sure if the bars or bent, or if its just the mounts. They are visibly out of shape and the rubber cones are squished. Hopefully I can straighten it all out. I plan to completely remove the front end, inspect everything, and re torque it all nice and straight. The clamps hit the frame so hard they left a 1/8" dent in the frame. There was dirt UNDER the throttle side grip! Under the glue, under the safety wire, the whole bit. I started it up, runs fine. Bike got off lucky considering how fast I was going! Whew!

I am healing up nicely! I feel like I could ride again, but if I crashed I'd be in a world of hurt. But I have full range of motion again! Probably about 80% strength in my right shoulder. I'll take a couple more weeks off the bike and make sure I'm fully healed up, but the temptation is tantalizing! But, as old and wise as I am, I know not to rush the healing process. I go back tomorrow for some follow up X-Rays and a consult with the surgeon who did the work, and to get my stitches removed. Here are a few of the x-rays that were taken during the surgery. I'm a bionic man now!

Seriously, glad to see you healing up. I hope the check up goes well and things keep progressing for the better.

Thanks brother! I've got lots of repair work to do around here anyways, and a 2007 KX250F and '98 KX125 to build! So that'll satisfy my boredom nicely so that I don't jones for riding so bad. The local race series started this weekend, runs for the next 3 weekends, I went out and cheered on some of my pals, was really tough not to be lining up and banging bars with them, but it's great to just be around everyone again. It's funny how all of us riders understand that it's an inherent risk, could be any one of us at any time. Couple guys just told me it was "my turn" and their turn will come one day haha!

Sad but true. I know I've had mine and I'm lucky to even be walking. All things considered, even with all the risks, I wouldn't trade riding for nothing!

Fresh X-Rays today. Doc said it's healing nicely, but that it's still extremely fragile. The next 4 weeks will be critical. He said this is the time he sees the highest incidence of re-fracture, because it feels healed (which it does) so people push activities and end up re- breaking the bone. Moral of the story is, I'm to take it easy for another month...

Ugh, thankfully I'm older and wiser now, that I know to trust the doctors, because 21 year old me would be back banging bars!
