Re: Broke foot and ankle
That sucks! Good luck on healing. Since they were not able to stabilize the third foot bone, I would think it will take a while for it to be strong enough to handle the abuse of off-road.

Re: Broke foot and ankle
OH MY! I am sorry to hear that!
Hopefully it is just a broken ankle and broken foot, not a broken spirit. Hang in there and if you go to rehab, do every single thing they say and just how they say it.
Heal up, and take it easy.
If you are able to find time, read up on bike maintenance, gear, whatever to remind you of what you can do again one day.

Broke foot and ankle
I second the "obey the rehab" people. In my experience, they know exactly what there doing.
Hang in there & take as few pain killers as possible, all there good for is constipation.

If you lend someone $20, and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

Thanks all. Off the meds and out of the cast, just waiting to get rid of the walking boot. Can't wait to get back out on the bike.

Broke foot and ankle
Your ankle x-ray looks very similar to mine. Mx crash where i landed on the inside of my foot which shoved my foot over breaking off the ankle bone, all sith mx boots on. To regain mobility absolutely do all the rehab exercises. I did mine and have about 95% mobility but know a guy who had a similar injury, didn't do anything and ended up about 50% with a limp. Heal up, get strong and go ripping!

Hang in there, you'll be back. I had a bad crash 2 years ago, broke my pelvis in 5 spots and broke my thumb! I was 57 then, did the rehab and am back on the trails loving every minute of it!

Re: Broke foot and ankle
May I suggest a higher quality boot? I mean you don't want to do this again right?
