Hi! Sorry to bother if this is a topic elsewhere, but I didn't manage to find an answer I am looking for.
I unfortunately unscrewed the lever (a)
My question:
How does one put this back in its position (is it aligned with the rear e-clip? ) ?
-1991 KDX250SR (japan mod).

Yes, thanks! That's the way I fitted it now.
Got some new spark plugs today. Will test ride later to see if it runs on high rpms.

Works fine now👌
The main issue was that the engine did not get enough air supply- would not rev on high rpms- so took of the air box lid (with snorkel) and now it runs like a mean machine on gazoline

 A 128 main jet, in a Keihin PWK carb, on a KDX250? If so, you're going to melt the piston in it.

I thought the OEM carb on the SR was a 28mm. That small a MJ on a PWK35 and you're going to have issues with longevity as SS109 said.

Changed mj to 160, and pj to #40, needle in 4th groove. Still rich on low rpm, but it idles nicely.
Yes I know mj 128 is lean (with no lid on the airbox), but it's stock size along with #42 pj.
The carb is 35mm pwk. It's not a KDX250 (US version, which has a 38mm and different jetting and piston etc).

Congratulations on getting it sorted. When jetting, the consequences of too rich is far less penalizing than too lean. Start rich and work down. :-)
Thank you for participating on kdxrider.net. :bravo:

Thanks, yes I agree - Better off starting too rich than lean
I think I'll just need to drop the needle from 4th
to 3rd or 2nd clip position. Way too rich in the low and mid range, but really pulls on wot
