Intake restrictor

Post by Hooters »

Hey guys.
Im in the middle of rebuilding the engine and am about to start assembling. Im wondering if anyone else has what looks like a restrictor in the carb side of the reed block. It looks like white plastic wedge with a hole in it. I was just going to remove it and check the results.

Hi. Which KDX model do you have? Can you post a VIN or engine number? Thanks.

You could check the parts diagrams on partzilla to see if it comes with it. Not sure if they have the sr model on there. I’d leave it.

Thanks for the replys.
I checked the parts diagram and noticed that the reed block is pictured with the "restrictor?" Fitted. There is no part number or explanation of the part. When I get the bike run in I will remove it and see what happens.
