Current Motocross Action Magazine KDX 220

I was in the store and grabbed a magazine last night. I never even go down there anymore because they typically don’t have dirtbike magazines on the shelf.
Imagine how excited I was to see that there’s a 3 page feature on Carson Browns 97 220. It said the cylinder was sent to Pro Circuit for porting and that it surprisingly returned back with a PC pipe and KX 250 silencer that Mitch Payton said is a direct fit for the KDX. No more info on the silencer.
It also has a Lectron carb and KX 125 forks.
If you’ve never seen him or this bike before YouTube “Carson Brown KDX”. There’s a couple videos of it and another that I can’t find where he rides it on his track at night with the headlight on, in the deep snow. That and all of his other videos are really amazing. He tears it up on anything from a CRF 50 to a 1983 RM 500. I saw a video about how Red Bull decided to sponsor him based on his social media popularity with him riding his backyard track. The only non competing athlete to ever get a Red Bull sponsorship. I like how sometimes he nails the throttle at the entry of a turn instead of the exit.
My favorite part of the article said that the KDX is his favorite to ride from his huge fleet of bikes. He even sells a “Legendary KDX 220” T shirt. Great to see the KDX getting praise in the magazine.
