Due to my age, I can't wait for a dealer to maybe/sorta/yeah it's coming but I don't know when answer.. XT250 at my dealer was supposed to come in 2 months ago........ then he rechecked and said they came in and were sold and delivered, has no idea if any more are coming in this year... This year ? It's February for crying out loud..

5$ part cost close 1k$ to replace.
If you're paying $1k for seals (and not getting ALL new bearings in the bottom end and a new top end) then you have found a mechanic that is extremely happy to do all your work for you.

Bringing this back up. That bike I talked about earlier has been relisted here: https://tucson.craigslist.org/mcy/d/ama ... 23145.html I've quoted the ad here and all it's pics to show what is the norm for a prime example of what a KDX goes for around in my part of the country.
This is a fantastic example of the legendary KDX. Look them up if you dont know. It's a plated and titled 2000 model
I got this for single track riding and as a backup"Buddy bike" but it rarely gets ridden and I want someone to enjoy it.
I have rebuilt and rejetted the carb, Wiesco piston, new gaskets throughout, brand new Gnarly rev pipe and FMF turbine core spark arrestor, radiators and hoses, bar risers, seat cover, clutch cable and lever, rear fender and taillight, shock sox, brand new motoz front tire and super heavy duty tube, hand guards, skid plate, pipe guard, lots of valuable extra parts including brand new black tusk rims, nice plastics, original spark arrestor and pipe. If you can find a nicer bike than this at this price point buy it!
Don't low ball me or I will just keep it.
I will not negotiate unless your here in person looking at the bike. $2850obo

That's a steel at $2850.
If you lend someone $20, and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

So, you're not saying it is full. Correct? So you do have room. :-)

LOL!

Yeah, I have been strongly tempted since it is such a clean bike and it would allow be to have a backup bike while I do my KDX hybrid. However, I just can't justify dropping the coin for it right now, sadly. My truck needs some small things taken care of and I'm saving for a big bucket list race that my bro and I just might do later this year.

NoBS: I'm with you. When I looked for a mechanically sound KDX 220, $3K was too much. Found one in AZ for $2700 that was plated there. bought it for $2700. That was my maximum limit.

Lucy: I hope the perfect KTM will be finally delivered to you. Wonder if it's a FL thing that it's difficult to get them. They're easily available here in CA. By the way, my sister lives in O'Town near Sea World. She doesn't have motos, but she does have gators on her back patio.

SS109: If I'd seen this 1 month earlier, then I'd have bought it! That's a sweet bike and the price is right. I can't run over and get it cuz I just bought a new MIG / TIG welder. My piggy bank has no more "Toys" money!
