Finally ready for the trails

Post by Ewbarger »

After alot of small issues and leaking gas tanks, she is ready for safe riding. I still need to wire up the polisport headlight and UFO rear fender light.

Runs great. The engine was good and healthy when I bought it a couple months ago. I knew it need some little things to make it right. I got it for a steel. I had a motorcycle accident back in May, breaking my left arm and 2 toes on left foot and fracture on top of left foot. So I wanted a light weight bike to get me back in shape.

Nice, glad ya got a good deal on it. I cringe when I see the price of used KDX's anymore. I've had 3 of them in the past, and I don't think I paid more than $15-1600 for one...now I can't seem to find junk ones for that much! lol

Sorry to hear about the accident, I hope you are healing up well and recovering!

My bike had the UFO rear fender on it when I got it, but my son snapped the tail off riding wheelies. I’d always thought the Maier was better for hare scrambles so I put one on. It’s fine, but I really miss the jaunty look and shape of the traditional KDX fender. Probably going to have to get another one.

Your bike looks great!
