Strange coincidence on Halloween

Post by TwistedRoot »

Noticed a few days ago that both my KDX's have a oil leak at the cs sprocket. Now I have previously done recent seal jobs on both bikes, ('02 200 and '03 220) and both were running great. I'm sure this is not related to my new output shaft seal because I know I have done them correctly. So my guess is bearings are oem and need to be replaced? TIA.

Did you replace the collars, o-rings and circlips? OEM front sprocket or other brand?

I bought two shaft seal kits with collars, orings, and seal. Moose brand I think. Sprockets were from RMATV

If there’s any play in the countershaft bearing it will cause even a brand new collar and seal to leak.
