98 KDX200 Paint
Anyone try to touch up their factory frame paint? I have some where areas I would like to spray but I can't seem to find a match. Search didn't help. Anyone have ideas or know a good match for the factory green?

Pj1 works great and is easy to apply. It's fumes however are strong so don't spray near a living quarter if you can manage it!

I would think 2/3/2, but I am not sure.
The color would be more light coats than the primer or clear.

Re: 98 KDX200 Paint
I just finished frame paint and did 2/2/2 primer/color/clear. Doing a third can of color, like KDXG suggested, might be a good idea for some of the tighter spots or thinner edges.
Duplicolor engine enamel. Grabber Green on the color. Nearly identical to the plastics color. Found it local and cheaper at Advanced Auto. Around $8 a can if you order online and pickup or delivered vs in-store which oddly was a little more.

Take your time. I let it cure for at least 24 hours between primer, color, and clear. The directions say let it dry like 10-15 minutes between coats of same material.

I also have a question on attaching those right angle dampers. Does anyone know what is the best glue to attach them to the frame? The original stuff was super strong.

Re: 98 KDX200 Paint
When I did mine I used some Shoo-goo...basically rubber cement on steroids. Since the tank sits on them there's no chance of loosing one while riding really. I've never had them come off during any maintenance with the tank off and its been over 5 yearsTheYakk220r wrote: ↑04:52 pm Mar 13 2021 I also have a question on attaching those right angle dampers.
