carb re-sizing

Post by odd401 »

i took my 98 200 carb off because the midplate oring crapped out and decided to open it up a bit, using a fine sanding disc i ran it thru the carb a couple times, and replaced the oring.i had a knockoff carb i installed instead and seems ok,i need to do crank seals so not trying to tune it just yet,but i picked up a 2001 220 thats basically stock except a gnarly pipe and sparky,i want to try the resized carb on the 220 but i forgot to write down the jets numbers so i dont know where to even start since the resize.i ride mainly around 5250 to 7000 ft,resizing carb, air box lid mod and the pipe should be good mods if i can get it jetted right, any thoughts on what jets i should start with ?i have a colortune i was gonna try to fine tune it,any thoughts or tips on it?

Start from factory and work your way from there. . Any photos of the resizing and how many millimetres did you take it out to
