I finally got around to putting my 2000 (or maybe 2001? I forget) KDX 220 back together. After a hare scramble in March one thing lead to another and I realized it had the original piston in it, it had a chip out of it and a cracked skirt. And the cylinder was scratched up... So off it went to Millennium Technologies. Sometimes life gets in the way of riding and I finally got around to putting it back together this weekend. I put it together, gave it fluids, turned the gas on and let the bowl fill... Turned it over twice slowly, then gave it a single good kick with a slight throttle roll and it started on the first kick... I was actually quite surpirsed. I cycled it warm/cold, hot/cold, light ride, then some wide open throttle runs and nothing siezed and on the WOT runs it honestly felt like it was getting more power... I guess the rings were seating in.
Again, thanks for the help and advice on here.. .Finally have it back up and running!
Thanks for the Help and Resources!
