Did anyone else run into the throttle cable being too long and hitting the gas tank

Not by any stretch am I computer literate but I am thinking there is several threads on here discussing just that. I suppose you'd go into search. Get back with us as I am pondering a lectron or an RB carb as I type this. thanks and good luck.

I think you have to use the stock cap with the bend in it but being an unknown entity,I am just using 58 year old recall.

Thanks for your reply. I had an rb carb and loved it. Just took awhile to perfect the jetting. The lectron was some what easier but the cable is funky
