Can I use Golden Spectro SAE 80 Gear Lube as gear box oil?

Jeff Fredette recommended Golden Spectro. Both pre-mix and gear lube.

So, this is trial and error. Every bike likes the oil that it likes. I tried 80w gear oil in my bikes, one did well, the other did not. I switched back to type F trans fluid because both bikes like it.
