Q7: air filter element fit "01 KDX220"

I bought a new twin air filter for my project 2001 KDX220.
The twin air filter has about a 1/8" hole for mounting.
The air filter cage has about a 1/2" diameter brass fitting.
Is the filter supposed to be "stretch fit" over the brass fitting on the end of the air filter cage?
Or does the filter remain on the outside of the brass fitting and a large washer supposed to press against it to seal out air leaks?

The hole should be stretched over the larger brass piece.

Is this 20 questions?

OK thanks.
It worked without ripping the air filter. Just move slowly and carefully.
So I did not have to call Twin Air about a ripped filter element.
But I did call No toil to report the air filter oil was neither red nor green.

Could be getting up toward 20 questions.
I figured I'd ask 100 questions on this relatively low mile build. Like when I looked at about 100 houses before I bought my 1st house.
But using search has spared you from some questions.

Ask away. I just noticed that you were numbering them.

I am a big question asker at times, so no worries from me.

I would put a dab of grease around the brass fitting. I did not think of that during my last reply.
