What else did you do besides the shim? What was your compression? New piston and rings?

I did all the things from the video with the copper shim… but my Screw with the spring and the little ball is broken. But that doesnt make the noise… compression is very good, bearly 150psi.
What i noticed is the clearance from ignition to the piston. You can hear a „clock“ in the video below, but is that probably normal?

I‘ll check the rod baering… hopefully its something different than that.

Hmm, I would check the specs from the manual and measure it. I admit, it doesn't sound good but side to side play I don't worry too much about. Now, up and down play is serious and must be within spec. If not, it's split the bottom end time.

I will check It sounds horrible! With that sound i cant enjoy riding… it needs to be fixed. Anyway the piston doesnt look good, i will change it.
