45 T Chain Wheel?

Post by VTMTcowboy »

Just wondering if anybody was running a 45 T chain wheel and what your thoughts were? I found that one of my riding spots generally puts me in between 2 and 3 gears using the stock 47 T rear ring, figured might try a 45 T to see if that could help. Seems as though 46 T doesn't exist. Depending on the situation I normally just lug third or keep 2nd in the meat of the motor, but seems like it might be worth a shot to try the 45.

Try putting a 14t on . Quick and cheap test. I run 14t and a 45t when dualsporting and my 220 can still do some nasty single track.

Yeah I might opt for that route instead, especially if I get it plated someday!

Dis-regard this thread, stupidly I didn't realize there was a whole section on drive ratios, and a whole thread on 45 T rear!!
