The hills were so steep that the bike would literally run out of gas at that angle, quit running. I'd have to lay the bike on it's side until the bowl filled back up, then start again. That's the truth!!

Well, It's time!
To go to the hospital that is.

Or so it seems. I've never been this badly beat up since I was in the Air Force stationed in Mississippi and some good old boys didn't much care that a damn yank was friendly to a southern belle.

The wife has a fresh pot of home made chicken soup and baking fresh cookies. A hot shower, some real home cookin' and some cookies as she kneads the knots out of my back and I'll be almost as good as new.

Anyway, it's a great excuse to take tomorrow off work. It will take me all day to unpack, clean and put everything away anyways.

P.S. to CC;
4 deer in the front yard within 30 minutes of being home. Well, make that 3 now.

:hmm:

Somehow I figgerd '..hills so steep..' had to do with going UP...not DOWN.

Gee...the things I learn reading your posts!

So....the first picture above (your bike upside down) has to do with........uh..........'..laying the bike on its side..' to drain/reset the carb bowl through the needle jet?

What about THAT one bambislayer?

Photos can't seem to do justice on how steep this stuff is.

For example, this photo with CC below me, I could kick a little dirt and it would hit him in the head, that's how steep it is. I'm sliding my bike down because the hill was too steep for the bike with both front and rear brakes and me holding it back, it was sliding down on it's own!!

Anyway, I've heard enough excuses, get your gut, er, butt out here and give it a go if it looks so easy to you....

No camera can do justice to any hill. Look at skipro's front foot, he is using it as a brake.

I'm not arguing it wasn't steep. In the pic of ski's bike on its left side where I'm standing below...I'd already low-sided that downhill just below where ski is. I'm looking at one more leg of the skid..not at all anxious about heading down 'cuz I just had the $hit kicked out of me by the last one.

'..can't handle a little ridin'..'

Ha! 90% of any rider from anywhere would'a had a pantload to clean up after goin' down this stuff. Until you've been here and ridden some of it, you have absolutely no idea.

Yep...cameras being 2D, they don't show diddle for steep...and that pic looks damn steep to me! BEing there? Lookin' at it from the top?

Y'all come down!!!

Hell...that hill is a pucker when it's NOT slimey!!

Haven't checked it yet...but THIS might work.

I hear ya... the longer they are the worse too!

I have been down hills that your bike wouldn't stop no matter if it was on it's side or not...
