I may be able to go. It would give me a good excuse to get my bike back together. Its been down for about 6 months now. I was wanting to hit up the mideast hare scramble next weekend anyway.

Hey, I'm trying to make the MidEast HS also next weekend. Maybe I'll see you there. #499 in the 60+ class. (I'm the guy everyone is passing!)

I may do sportsman too. That way the real racers are more strung out before they start passing me!

I'm way over on the coast at Southport, NC so not me.

Hey, Roy, I looked at your race record from 2015 since you said you haven't ridden all summer. You're way too fast for me, man! I think I'll still ride Sportsman instead of 60+ though, just to have another KDX on the line for a change.

I'm not all that fast, i can only hold my own for about a mile or two, Then i usually hit the ground and come to my senses. I enjoy single track riding way more then the high speed harescrambles. Hurts way less crashing at slow speeds. I think you will really enjoy it much better starting at the back. Its real hard for me to get a good rhythm going when getting passed by so many people.

LOL! Same here. I usually do something utterly stupid in the first half mile or so because I'm trying to keep up with the real racers. I think you're right about starting at the back. I'm just there to enjoy the trail ride anyway. If you like tighter single track courses better you might try riding in some of the North Carolina Hare Scrambles Association races. Their tracks are usually much tighter than MidEast with more single track. Some are almost enduro-like.

Well it looks like Scott wasn't able to get the day of work after all.... somebody with higher seniority booted him off for the day. So looks like we're not going to WV after all this weekend, which means I guess we'll be seeing you at Brushy  Or at least me for sure, Scott still won't know if he has to work until last minute, so he's a maybe (his work schedule suuuckkkss)

Either way, keep an eye out for us...... I'll be driving a dark grey Ford Edge SUV pulling a little trailer with the KDX (with a NC tag), and Scott will have either a dark grey Nissan Frontier or a maroon Toyota T-100, and either a green KX-250 or green KDX-220

You know about what time you think you'll get there?

Ok cool..... I usually shoot for around 10 getting there (I'm only about 45 mins away, but not a morning person at all, lol. I work 2nd shift so don't get home until after midnight). Looks like my buddy Scott won't be able to make it, but I'll be there

Just look for the beast :) I'll keep an eye out for you guys too

Sweet..... I'll see you there!

I did put some different radiator shrouds on mine today, so it looks a little different than the pic above..... more green stickers instead of the black and green ones. Rest of the bike is the same though Looks like my buddy Scott might make it after all too, so we may have 4 KDX's in the group  :supz:
