IMS tank doesn't use stock shrouds?

There's an IMS natural tank on ebay that I'd like to get but in researching it, it seems that the stock shrouds won't fit.

Correct?

I'd just like a natural tank so I can see how much gas I've got- hard to tell on the KDX....

If it is an IMS gas tank manufactured for the correct year KDX 200 it should accept the stock shrouds. That is one of the requirements that IMS and Clark have always had for their tanks.

If it is a dry break type tank they give you the shroud with the tank - if someone is selling a dry break on E-Bay chances are 50/50 they have the shroud also.

Give IMS a call and clarify before you pass up something that you may want - also could contact the seller with the question.

IMS supplies the shrouds for both style tanks (dry break, regular gas cap) for the modern KDX (aka 95-up). OEM shrouds are not compatable.

I stand corrected!!

Edit - http://www.justgastanks.com/products.ph ... &model=213 Indicates conflicting information within their ad. Stock petcock and shrouds accepted and later in the ad shrouds/kit included.

It's the technical name for the quick fill system you see the pros using. "Dry break", I would guess because you don't slosh gas all around the place like you do when you fill with a funnel.
