used the search and really did not get what i was looking for. Got the pressure switch, now how do you run it into the wiring (electrical) system.

If using the stock 2 wire taillight, unplug the taillight wire from the red wire behind the air box. Plug in one of the switch wires into the red power wire. Plug the other switch wire into the taillight wire.

If you replaced the taillight or installed an 1157 type plug with 3 wires, plug the switch wire into the brake wire, ground to black, and taillight to red. You need to make a pigtail so that there are 2 plugs at the end of the red wire for the taillight and brake switch.

If you are not sure which is which, use a 12 volt battery to find the brake (brightest) light. Ground is usually black or brown and connected to the body of the socket. This goes to negative on the battery for testing.

Mounting the switch in the brake cylinder will require some spacers (washers) and/or grinding the brake fluid reservoir mount.

That gets you a light when you brake, but no taillight.

Is that what you want?

You can use an 1156 (single element) with a resistor wired in series into the ground lead. Run the 'normal' tail signal thru the resistor to ground, connect the pressure switch to the socket side of the resistor, the other switch wire to ground.
