I broke a brand new kart racing engine out of the box the other night, and starting slapping the running hardware on it. There must have been a defective stud that holds the exh header on, and it snapped right off w/ next to no torque. I was ticked! When looking for a machine shop in the area to assist me, I remembered Eric Gorr is right up the street from me. I gave him a call(to which he suprisingly answered), and he told me to bring it in. When I came in he stopped what he was doing, extracted the stud while I waited, and refused to take a dime from me! He is a very cool guy...
Karting angine specialist also charge about $6-700 for a big bore/port job on a std iron cyl. I think I'm going to let EG have a crack at doing up one of these motors....
Eric Gorr is the man...

Thats pretty damn cool. Its always nice when you can find somebody that will help you out in a bind. When its time to have the lower end rebuilt on my bike its heading his way.
