Good video, I used a UNI filter once on my KDX and its hanging on the wall. Just oiling and squeezing out the oil from 2 filters was enough for me to not want to use it. Plus I noticed it let much more light through than the much cheaper Tusk air filters. I did the same thing as you with the larger washer but had a very thin piece of plastic laying there that I cut with scissors and made a small hole in the center. I didn't like how much dirt would collect around the outside of that small washer. It's much better with the larger washer.
