Float Height Measurement

Post by rhino17 »

I've attached some pics of my float on a 2002 KDX 200 I recently bought which is running rich and loading up. I confirmed my float height is 18mm, assuming I measured it correctly. For those of you that have set your float height to 18mm, does your float tang look mine below and is the seam in the float not parallel with the carb body when the tang is barely resting on the needle plunger? Current jetting is 152/38. The float was set this way when I bought the bike.
