Is this too much to expect of an engine builder
Is it too much to expect a professional engine builder to make sure that an engine is leak free or that it won’t lose any pressure during a leak down test?

It's not too much, you are paying a good premium for a job well done but **** does happen, and since I can't really afford someone else too build my bike, I did my research and rebuilt it myself, therefore if something does happen and it leaks or not lined up or not shifting it's on me. **** does happen, they said they would fix it right? Just my thoughts

Yes they did I am just alittle bit paranoid about something going wrong again and wanted to express this but not come off as a customer telling someone how to do their job.DonnyV wrote: ↑08:32 pm Nov 20 2022 It's not too much, you are paying a good premium for a job well done but **** does happen, and since I can't really afford someone else too build my bike, I did my research and rebuilt it myself, therefore if something does happen and it leaks or not lined up or not shifting it's on me. **** does happen, they said they would fix it right? I definitely like working on stuff as well but sometimes I don’t want to create problems because I beat myself up over it.

I would ask them to test it and I would also test it myself before installing back into the frame. You need it to have zero loss at 5-6 psi for 5-6 minutes.
