New to me 1986 KDX80
Hey fellas! New to the forum and KDX bikes. I'm about to be 33 and a few of my work buddies and myself got into the mini bike thing. (Coleman) Although it was a blast we kinda started talk of buying pit style bikes. Upon browsing the marketplace I came across what is now mine an '86 KDX80. It's for sure a winter project bike but it does run. It's in definite need of a top end rebuild at the moment. It does have good bones for a project! So far I'm planning on rebuilding and keeping the original motor that's in it. I'd like to maybe go with a stiffer more modern rear shock, perhaps from a kx80? I'm a welder/fabricator by trade so I can make just about anything work. What other modern mods have you guys done? What parts interchange or would be close? Any and all help is appreciated!
