220 runs better with the idle set slightly high.
I know it’s a kinda dumb statement but it feels so much better. Maybe because the pilot jet is set incorrectly.

JZ, assuming pilot jet is correctly size, then it could be:
1) Carb air screw is not correctly set (this is most desirable condition),
2) Air filter box to carb manifold leak (engine is able to suck air through leak and higher idle setting provides more fuel to balance air & fuel. But, this problem usually produces rough and ever changing engine behavior), or
3) Carb needle clip in position that is too low (like P1. P1 is bottom groove. P4 is top groove)

Just a small correction, on needles the top position is always #1 and the bottom #5.billie_morini wrote: ↑11:43 pm Jul 31 2022 3) Carb needle clip in position that is too low (like P1. P1 is bottom groove. P4 is top groove)

I am going to try moving the clip from the middle position to the second from top and see how that goes. Thank youbillie_morini wrote: ↑11:43 pm Jul 31 2022 JZ, assuming pilot jet is correctly size, then it could be:

Yes, SS is correct. It's always an accident with me regarding right, left, east, west, up, down, etc.
