So lots of RB mod info and a fair bit on the Lectrons. But anybody try a smart carb? Yes a bit more money, but I've been looking into them and watching quite a few reviews. I'm seriously tempted to give one a try on my build. Just thought I'd throw it out there to see if anyone has actually run one. Cheers.

Don't think they fit.

I know of a few people who tried them back when they were pretty new and had nothing but tuning issues with them. Of course, that's been some time ago.

Ok, well I'll look into it and report back......... let you know what I find out!

Got a positive response from SmartCarb - Slick_Nick was correct about fitment issues by the sounds of it....... sounds like they get lots of KDX interest and curious if they'll send me something so I can start looking into the fitment issue.....

Thank you for your interest in the SmartCarb for your 2002 KDX220. Happy to answer your questions.

Unfortunately we don’t have a good fit for that bike at this time and it is due to the frame contact related fitment issues you’d mentioned. We’re really needing to get one in-house for a longer term study on what it’ll take to equip. We get inquiries about them daily – very popular bike.

We’d be interested in having you assess fitment with a 3D print, but we’ll need to generate those drawings without proprietary internal features before we send any out. I’ll see what I can do to pull that together for you.

What file type/format would you prefer for your printer?
