kdx E model vs H model kips valves

Post by sluggo641 »

wanting to know if there is a difference in kips valves between these two models? i have a 2001 and thinking of buying a set of bdk valves to have on hand for later but website says they're for E model bikes only. do the H models have the same valves and wear issues as the E model? tia.

E and H subvalves are different and do not interchange. The H series doesn't have nearly the failure issues, not that it hasn't happened, that the E's had.

With e subvalves, time is not the predominant factor. I was basically replacing mine every year when I would open it up

Did you buy the bike new?

I see you have 454 posts, so you have been around for a while. I don't really remember seeing broken valves that were as clean as a whistle.

Well, I don't have an E-Series anymore (I've owned 3). But I definitely went through many subvalves, and most were replaced cleaner than my original still-working valves probably currently are on my H.
