Finally got my new seat foam and custom cover in. The foam came from FRP and is 1" taller and firm foam. (Could have just ordered it directly from CEET as it turns out!) The cover is from Factory Effex and is custom for the KDX. NOTE: you won't find the KDX included on their site for custom seats. However, if you call, they will give you ordering instructions. I'm not completely happy with the install job I did on this cover so will keep working at it. The combination of the different foam shape and the "ribs" across the seat, seem to make it harder to get a good smooth install.
Haven't ridden the bike yet but the extra height is noticeable just sitting in the garage.

Thank you for posting the pic. I can see the difference but it looks great with the lines of the bike. I ordered mine (tall, hard) directly from CEET and tracking shows I'll have it on Wednesday. Looking forward to riding with it. My stock foam is way past its prime.

I got my foam yesterday and loosely laid it on. I love it and wouldn’t consider it to be hard. Just firmer than the old foam. The seat cover I had on before is going to work with the taller seat no problem.

Man. That looks nice! Thanks for the comparison pics. The height of the tank behind it shows the difference well.

Thanks guys for the info on seat foam and cover. I really like the look of the Factory Effex cover and the good grip it provides with the ribs.
