Scott's Rear Shark Fin (order one while you can)
Just wanted to give you all a heads up that I have been working with Scott's Performance to make at least a few more rear shark fin disc protectors for our KDX's. Long story short, the CNC machines they used to make this part back when our bikes were new is no longer being used, so they are in the process of setting up a program in one of their new machines and are only going to make a handful of these parts before closing them out permanently.
They already have a few orders for this part (including mine), so if you want to get what is arguably the best rear disc protection for our bikes, you may want to place an order sooner than later. Call Scott's and ask for Steve and he should be able to help you out. Please note that it may take a bit of time for them to make these parts, but once they do, it will be the last of them since it really does not make sense for them to make them anymore unless they get a lot more demand for them.
Just figured I would share this info with you all.

Yep, I should have mine tomorrow. If you are on the fence about these, you may want to act soon. They only made 16. Several are spoken for, and some are going to BRP and a couple other vendors which means they only have a few left. So happy they were willing to make a few more of these for us die hard KDX fans.

Got my fin mounted last night. The fit and finish are spot on, and there were no clearance issues once bolted up. Looking forward to putting it to the test when riding season starts here soon.

Re: Scott's Rear Shark Fin (order one while you can)
I was going back and forth on this and finally decided to order a fin for my "new" 200. When I bought my 220 it came with one, and like others have said, the quality is really nice on these, so I thought I'd better get one before they don't make them anymore. Ended up talking with Steve (funny, energetic guy) for quite a while, and we chatted about the KDXs they used to ride/tinker with in their shop. They are in the process of doing a new batch since all of the current fins are spoken for, so it looks like it will be a few weeks before mine is shipped out, which doesn't bother me since I'm in no rush.
If the demand keeps up, they might continue to make them. I think it's pretty cool that they still have a love for KDXs and are willing to make these parts for our bikes.

Re: Scott's Rear Shark Fin (order one while you can)
I ordered one online 2 days ago. They called me the next day to let me know it was a 4 week wait. Scott's has very friendly customer service. I need to do business with them more often.
If you lend someone $20, and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

I looked on the website. It states 1989+, so I am moving this to the general Q&A.

150 bones. It sure looks nice, but kinda expensive. Have you guys bent rear rotors?
