They are not the same length. Kouba lowering link for Type H actually raises seat height of Type E 1/2".

Re: dog bone lengths e vs h ?
The hole center distance is stamped on the links. For H series, the standard center distance is 112.5 mm. Typically, the greater the center distance, the more lowering you get.
I have no experience with E series, so can't comment.
That said, it's pretty easy to make your own links from 1/4" steel plate. I made my own. Experiment with different lengths and see what you get. You could make mock ups from MDF to see how low they put the bike. Once you're happy with the result, make real ones from steel.
Just remember that when you lower the rear, you increase the fork's rake angle which affects the handling. To restore the rake angle, you can raise the fork tubes higher in the triple clamps.

They are not the same length, IIRC the E's are like 125mm center-to-center, or 128 can't remember off hand. If you are looking to lower the E a set of OEM links off a 2003 Suzuki V-Strom are 140mm center-to-center and will drop the E about an inch.

I know they are different lengths, but are the links interchangeable from E to H series? Could a guy run the E series links for a lowered height?

Re: dog bone lengths e vs h ?
Yes, they use the same mounting hardware and have the same hole sizes. Remember that any lowering of the rear has to be accompanied by a corresponding lowering of the fron to tkeep the geometry correct.

Re: dog bone lengths e vs h ?
Are you sure? My Kdx220sr is stamped 119mm. Would that make it taller or shorter than the 112 links
Oh, you got me!
For USA sold 1995+ model KDX's, it is 112.5 mm. The original poster is from the USA. I assumed his KDX is a USA sold model. The thread title mentioned "H" model, not "B", "F" or "G". I replied as as such.

Re: dog bone lengths e vs h ?
I'm still confused. The Kdx220 is a H model isn't it? My bike is already very high. I can't imagine that there is a kdx model that is even higher

Re: dog bone lengths e vs h ?
Is this your KDX?
The USA market had:
KDX200-C, E and H
KDX200-D is similar to C, but not sold in the USA. KDX200-E and KDX200-F are similar to E, but not sold in the USA. KDX200-J is similar to the H, but not sold in the USA. KDX220-A was sold in the USA. KDX220-B was not. I hope this helps.
Also, no KDX125 in the USA. NO "street legal" KDX's sold off a dealer floor in the USA.

Re: dog bone lengths e vs h ?
Without meaning to hijack a thread. Yes that is my model. The previous owner changed the forks to the later cartridge style. I'm wondering if these are longer than the SR model which would mean the original dog bones would be low and might through my geometry out. I've been feeling my front end doesn't track so well. Might try dropping the forks through the tubes and see how it feels

kdxdazz, have you checked the part numbers to see if they are the same?

Re: dog bone lengths e vs h ?
Part numbers for forks or dog bones? I don't know how to find part numbers for the SR model, if the dog bones have different stamped numbers on them then I assume they must be different

Re: dog bone lengths e vs h ?
Thankyou. I'm useless with the Internet. So they are the same part numbers. I will have to find out if the previous owner changed the links
