Tank

Post by Jacklegg »

Hello. This might've been covered in a previous thread but I have a question involving the plastic tank. Does wet sanding bring the color back? If so is the tank weakened? The decals that are replicated today do the stick to the tank good or do they peel off after a little bit. I've got several other questions but will start with this one. However, she runs and I'm not ready to do anything to mess that up right now. LOL

The plastic beneath the crusty exterior is fine.

Look on youtube for tank sanding videos, especially the one with the red tank and the wooden fixture to hold it.

I’ve seen someone scrape with a new razor blaze too, then sand. Just be careful. The decals will stick IF you prep properly. It has to be super super clean.
