How can you see the color? My sight glass is so worn that my oil could be glowing and I wouldn't be able to see it!

Same. I tried to thoroughly clean mine to no avail. I'll wait to spend 15 bucks on something that I'll probably break when trying to install.

KDXGarage wrote: 01:56 am Aug 03 2019 Just for fun, do only one change, the oil. See how the different oil affects it, then go for the basket filing.

Wiseco used to make baskets. ProX used to also.
Yeah the notches were the real problem, they were horrible. Now as far as oil goes I went back to normal stuff I used but I never found an oil that would last for more than 2 or 3 rides is that all there is to it or is there something that actually last a little while
Was it just that basket or is the boss notched too? Also, check to see if the gap between your friction plate fingers and the basket is still in spec. I think you can cause some damage over time if it’s out of spec. I’d be on the lookout for a basket.
Yeah I haven’t been on the bike that much because of it trying to get a basket is a little pricey, any aftermarket baskets you suggest?

I know pro-x is made in Japan. Does wiseco make anything well besides pistons?

Wiseco and ProX are owned by the same company, Race Winning Brands (http://www.racewinningbrands.eu/). They also own Rekluse.

That said, I know Wiseco baskets to be very nice.

I would not buy a Wiseco crankshaft. I would gladly buy a basket or piston.

Yup. Their cranks tend to be hit or miss with the trend more to the miss side.

The price is alarmingly low.

You get what you pay for??

I would much rather rebuild an OEM than use a new Wiseco, way too many horror stories.

Exactly! I know a factory crank is good whereas the Wiseco you're rolling the dice.
