I have been thinking about getting rid of my KDX We have land up in Maine now and it is much easier to have a 4 wheeler than a bike. I was just wondering if anyone would help me in determining how to price it initially on craigslist.
Here are the details:
2001 KDX 200
KX front forks
RB head and carb mods
New tires front ad rear
FMF woods pipe (have both the stock and FMF silencers) A little dented
New clutch
Suspension link bearings rebuilt (I think the lower shock bearing still needs to be done and I have the bearings but I didn't put it in yet)
Aftermarket radiators
Fatty bars
Hand Guards
New air filter
MX style fenders and number plate (have stock rear fender)
Grippy seat cover
New Grips
I think that is about it. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks
Jeff

I would check to see what prices other KDX's are on your local craigslist and some nearby cities.
It looks like a nice one.

That’s probably where I’d start it, a bit less here in Co. Looks nice though, shame to let it go but an ATV would be fun all year. GLWS.

Re: What do you think it is worth
I'd hang onto it if you can. A good condition KDX will continue to get harder and harder to find and since you've put the wrench time in on this one, you know what you are getting. I just searched some of the New England States CL and the current range is $1300-$2100. It is snowmobile season right now, so generally most people are only looking at dirt bikes for a steal. If you are patient and wait till the spring/summer, you'll probably be able to get the number you are looking for. Again, I'd try to keep it if you can, but either way good luck!

Re: What do you think it is worth
Thanks for the input. I probably won't list it until spring but I wanted to get an idea of where to start. I would like to keep it because it is a solid bike that I know where it is at but I just don't see myself riding it as much as I would a wheeler on the trails in Maine. We'll see. I may change my mind again between now and the spring. It wouldn't be the first time.
Thanks again
Jeff

I couldn't even fathom selling a beast like that, but if I could, in NW PA, It'd bring $1800-$2200.
