KDX 250 plastics

Post by Huffnpuffer »

Hi All Im trying to find some new replacement plastics for my 93 KDX 250. I have been trying to find them on and off for 6 months now with no luck finding them except for used ones which are usally cracked or faded. Is there any other models that are an exact fix and are the same shape for the KDX250. It may help chasing them down. The 93 KX250 look simular but not the same. Mostley the front shrouds look diffrent. Im trying to restore the bike to OEM. Anyone out there know?

I don't think anyone makes new plastics for the '91-'94 KDX250 any more.

I kinda getting that idea. I my have to buy another to bikes to get the good plastics and part out the rest of the bikes. Other thought would be to do a KX copy and register it. Thanks for the rely. If anyone has any other Ideas please let me know.

I think the shrouds and side panels are OEM only.

One can get a 1990 - 1991 KX125 / KX250 rear fender, IF the rear hand holds are not used.

Oh my. I didn't look, but I know which ones you are talking about. They are vacuum molded, like Maier was 30 years ago. I would not be surprised if they are not the same molds as Maier.

I have a NOS Maier KX skid plate for 1989 or 1991 or something like that. I don't really care for it. If I didn't have any plastic at all, I would get them, but I currently have enough plastic.

I have mostly "old" bikes, not vintage, so I can mostly get by without or try to restore some OEM stuff.

Great find on the headlight. Congratulations.

Saying 91 to 94... yes vacum moulded finished in satin.. probably work out 350 pounds to get them here in the UK.. same as I'm not that desperate for them . Old ones are the best lol...

The KDX250 would be a great start for a hybrid build. (I love the KDX250 engine!) A '99-'02 KX250 chassis, with that engine, would make a serious woods weapon.
