Tail light bulb?

I needed a new bulb for my tail light on my 2002 KDX 220.
12 volt 10 watt bulb is reference in the manual. Having a hell of a time finding one. Anyone know if the auto stores carry a bulb that will work? If so, have a number for the bulb type?

should be an 1156
I bought a led taillight so I could use a slightly brighter headlight here is the one I bought, it has been in the bike for a couple years now with no problems.

It is a 5008. Auto stores have them. 1156 is around 23 watts. a 5008 is 10 and a 5007 is 5 watts. LED is the way to go.

Wait.... I'm running the rear tailight AND an led so it lights up when I hit the brake. Is that okay? Should I take the constant bulb out and just run the LED?

I would run a duel style led like one that replaces a 1157. You will need to change socket. The led saves power as the stator only has so many watts to go around.

Just to follow up for future info, advance auto carries the 5008 bulbs.
