Hello from Wisconsin

Post by Bkobliska »

First post on the site, been riding KDX’s for 25 years.
Just finished a frame up on a 1997 KDX220. Did some machine work and installed 2005 KX 250f forks, wheel and brakes.
Looking forward to the knowledge here.

I found a paint code online from prismatic powders.
Didn’t end up quite as neon green as I would like, but overall good color and quality.

Welcome! Great looking bike. I really like the mx fender. What FMF exhaust are you running?

Thanks!
Running a FMF gnarly pipe and power core silencer. Considering trying out a rev pipe pipe to see the difference in power delivery.
The bike makes a lot of low end which I really like but on the track could use some more on top. No issues running with newer 250 four strokes.

I’m around the Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls area.
Looking for some good trails to ride next summer with my son, any suggestions.
I’ve heard that there are hundreds of miles around Superior Wisconsin. When I was in high school we would ride near neillsville.

I've heard that the Tamarack trail system is really good. I'm planning to go up there with my son next summer. I lease a spot in Tigerton, WI near the Tigerton Off road park and usually ride there every weekend. Tigerton has a very nice/technical single track (8 miles+). Some say the best in WI.
Here is a link to some other OHM trails in WI https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/topic/parks/recreation/ohm
You should get some ice tires for that bike of yours and have some frozen lake fun this winter. This will be the first winter for me trying ice.
Kind Regards,
Sean

Awesome, thanks for the info. We ride indoors in the winter in New Richmond. Cedar lake arena.
